With Hyper-V your virtualisation environment doesn’t have to be restricted to the one version of Windows. Server 2003 Web Edition (32 bit)
Designed for hosting web applications, websites and XML web services. Web Server 2003 comes with .net 3.5 and IIS 6. You can only use SQL Server Express Edition with Web Edition. Web edition is 32 bit only.
Server 2003 Standard Edition (32 & 64bit)
Aimed towards small to medium sized businesses, Windows 2003 Standard Edition also supports SQL Server 2005. For newer applications we also offer Standard Edition in 64bit too.
Server 2008 Web Edition (32 & 64bit)
Built on Windows Server 2008 and designed for hosting web applications, websites and XML web services. Web Server 2008 comes with .net 3.5 and IIS 7. You can only use SQL Server Express edition with Web Edition
